It started with just five shrimp

One year ago, we bought 5 shrimp.

Initial colony: 5 specimens.
Survival rate: not ideal.

3 died in the first week.

The last male and the last female briefly continued the species.

The male died.

The female did not.

We now selectively breed her descendants in a small tank, under controlled conditions, in a 3-bedroom flat.

This is not a large operation.
This is a continuation.
